Summers are finally over in West Region I guess but still its not raining cats and dogs…this post was shot back in may summer during my visit to Chandigarh & the sun was harsh at that time but still you know one needs to explore the city not considering the temperature. I went for a very basic look that day & wore this supercomfy black georgette maxi skirt which has beautiful florals crawling over it and paired it up with my all time favorite mustard colored plane top from zara.
A couple of people asked me the places I visited, while I was there, especially where you can indulge yourself in some shopping. I did not had copious amount of time as I was there for just one day, so I had to rush to places to cover all of them. No trip to Chandigarh is complete without a visit to Rock Garden (which is the real proud of Chandigarh), as such for shopping there's no peculiar area albeit sector 22 & 17 are nice for buying some exquisite pieces of Phulkari art & Jootis as well as some street accessories are also available there for cheap. When it comes to mall shopping one must go to the gigantic ‘Elante’ mall which offers plenty of brands as much as possible under one roof.
What I liked the most about Chandigarh is the keyphrase that it follows ‘Clean city Green city’ actually unlike any city in India. The roads are clean & have lush greenery by their sides and it is really impressive and I personally think we can too contribute in making our cities clean by keeping it like our homes are! (p.s.- I know I am sounding too much social but trust me this can’t be skipped)
So if you’re planning for a short trip within India, Chandigarh is great!
